Question Hard Tonneau vs. Topper

I have been vascillating between a Gaylords X-2000 hard tonneau and a topper. Both have their pluses and minuses. And frankly, I like the looks of a tonneau better! BUT, if I put a topped on my truck, we can sleep in the bed of the truck. It would be easier to put bicycles in the back of the truck. I just really LOVE the look of a hard tonneau. On mt last SD, I had a tool box and a diamond plate matching tonneau. It looked GREAT. I feel that a tonneau is more secure. You just can't look into a tonneau, like you can with a topper.

I guess it all depends on what you pur back there I have a GEM top all metal canopy on my truck I like very much it has no side widows only the front and back that are tinted so it is hard to see in. If your going to sleep in it at least get a vent put in though I would also suggest a bedslide tray to access things easier but it all takes money

I have decided that I want a tonneau, because I LOVE using my power sliding rear window.

I have an Extang Trifecta tonneau. No snaps, all aluminum frame, held onto the truck bed by four quick release clamps. The thing folds like a hot tub cover. Looks terrific and stays tight, and I can carry big things with just a 20 second changeover from covered to stowed.
