2008 tailgate on an 03

Hey Yall, I was wondering if anyone knows if an 08 tailgate will fit on an 03 bed, I havent seen one up close but was thinking of getting one if it will work.

The '08 tailgates will work. The beds are the same.

It will work and so will the 08 taillights. You will just need to buy a bracket for the driver's side of the tailgate- that's what I know of.

Yeah...I checked with the dealer like 6 months ago and the unpainted tailgate w/ step was like $360!!!!

Hey Ditty, I think they have gone up. I heard of one for 1k! A local truck/trailer place here that puts service body beds on and such had a sale last weekend, and they wanted 300 for a white one off of an 02 that had some scratches on it!

Thanks guys, just wondering cause I just bought an 03 clean truck but someone backed into something put a whole right through the gate, so its gotta be replaced, Thought you know those new ones look great with super duty stamped in them, Ill have to see what the local dealer gets and watch ebay

if you find one and want to sell the one with the hole in it let me know, I have a shell but need everything else off of it
