running lights

Does anyone know were i can get some running board lights that go on the side of my truck above the steps. The only ones i have found is the recons but i dont like them.

What dont you like about the Recon ones? i have seen some generic ones on Ebay.. might want to try their

I dont like how they come on when you put on the blinker and that they are orange.

I bought individual lights from a local truck& trailer place, and put them on myself. worked out pretty good i think.
they were like 2 dollars and something a piece. you might try looking around at places that sell trailer accesssories, and find some you like and buy them. You should be able to find orange ones, red ones, or clear ones.

just an idea. i dont really like the LED light bars either. i think invidual lights look better.

Your truck looks awesome! I like how that looks... Just a word of warning that the DOT has strict rules about location and color of lighting...

I love it too. i just need cab roof lights.(if i dont end up selling the truck, that mod will be along shortly)

well there 1 wire lights. there grounded by the screws. so i just ran ran them all into 1 wire, then up into the engine compartment, to a fuse(i didn't to this a first, and yeah, lets say i found out the hard way i should have done it to begin with.), then to a swith in the cab, and then its hooked into the running light electrical system(just what i used as my source of power. you could use the battery if you wanted i guess.). I have one switch for the one's on the cab, and one switch for the one's on the front bumper. I probably could have run them straight to the the running light electrical system, but i chose not to do that for 2 reasons. 1--if anything ever goes wrong, i'd blow the whole thing, so its nice to have a second means of stopping shorts going to my trucks electrical system. 2. i like having the option of turning them on and off invidually

That is very true. I thing the laws for NC are no red in the front, but past a certain on the bed(or maybe its the bed), your allowed to start using red. I dont think any state allows red on the front, but i could be mistaken. probably out to just find the rules for your state.
