Tires Vs rim size help!!

Ok well im sick of my BFG all terrians 37x12.50xR20

I have found a tire I really like. the Procomp 3ply X-terrian Radials in the 38.50x14.50xR20

Now my problem is that my rims are only 8.5 wide (eagle alloys 178), and it says I need a 9''-12'' rim.

I dont haul alot if any. nothing over 5000lbs. and very rarly.

So will this be a problem? I have been told I cant go bigger then a 13.50 wide.

I dont see why it would be a problem to drive around town like that. but any help or advice would be great. Thanks

You probably can run 14.5's on 8.5 rims, but it has been my experience that the center of your tires will wear quickly and the truck will wonder on the road.

x2 and I'd be interested in the offset of your tires because you are gonna have 2 extra inches on the inside and it may just be enough to rub on your leafs...

Your tires will wear fast in the center of the tread just like running to much air
