Under Grill plastic on 2006 PSD

I was wondering if any of you with the 2006 F250 has noticed the plastic trim under the front grill (Above bumper-between bumper & grill) being warped . Mine appears to be wavey looking and Ford dealer says it is not supposed to be and is getting a new part. I am wondering if the Dealer body shop paint will be of the same quality as the original.

Mine has a small wave in it when you compare it to the "flat" of the lower grill, I would just attribute it to age, if the dealer wants to replace yours thats great! As for your worry about the paint shops work, I think my dealer does a way better job on paint and such than the factory does!

No problem...Hey you might set a precident, if they replace it once no questions asked maybe, you could go back next year and get a new one again! Mine is chipped up from highway debris already!

plastic

They said to bring it in and they would have to keep my truck 3 days to make sure the paint is matched right, etc. They will give me a ride for the time they have my truck. Sure will miss it for the 3 days.

I have an 06 and I noticed the warp already. Not even a year old (owned since sept. of 05) pretty bogus you ask me. Especially this new.

grill warp

I had a small paint peal in my rear passenger door and at 35,900.00 I decided to see if Ford would warrantee the peal and they said they would. When I dropped the truck off I also showed them the warp in the grill. When I picked up the truck from the paint shop I had a brand new grill. If you guys are under warrantee you should get it replaced.

Grill

I took mine in and they kept it four days but replaced the part. It looks great but I am wondering how long it will last. You would think FORD would use a little stronger support in that area.
