Well, household 6 (the wife) finally gave me the go ahead to get some tires and a leveling kit for the rig...so I ordered some BFG All Terrain K/Os LT285/65R20/E (BFG's website says they are 34.7" tall). The problem is that my Donohoe 2.5" leveling kit is on backorder, expected to ship November 9th (even though two different places said they have them in stock, including the ones I ordered through.) Anyways, I'm driving out to Oregon next weekend and want to get the new tires on before I head out. Do you think these will fit good enough to hold me over for a week and a half until the leveling kit arrives? A guy here in town has a Skyjacker kit with poly spacers and shocks for $150 that I'm thinking about putting on in the interim, but I'd rather not waste the money for a week's use.

I think I can deal with it for a week. After spending $750 on the DR kit, I don't think the wife would be very happy to 'rent' another one for a week.

Go with the bilstien kit. Thats what I did and it rides so much better than stock and it comes with front shocks.

Your fine on the tires. Delaware King Ranch has the exact same tires on an F-250 without a leveling kit. I think they may rub a little at full turn, but nothing you can't live with.
Hopefully Eric will see this and chime in for you. |

Thanks, I think that's what I'll do. I was so pissed when I called and found out that these guys didn't have my kit in stock. I guess I'll have to wait, though.

Yes, like Matt says I have the exact tires on w/o a leveling kit.
I have yet to rub even at full turn and driving offroad through 1'-2' gullies and bouncing through the fields at works. Put them on and enjoy the ride, it looks close, but they will clear. |

Getting them put on in the morning. Thanks guys, you saved me from wasting some $$ while I wait for the DR kit to show up.
