Amp BedStep 2 Install w/pics!

So I picked up an Amp Research BedStep 2 for an early Christmas present and I'd figure I'd share the install with you all. It was super easy to install and everything you need came with the kit.

First, set everything up on the tailgate; Check!

You have to pre-assemble it before you bolt it up to the truck.

Next, you put the metal bracket into the channel of the bed. It fits perfectly!

Then you get the unit you pre-assembled and bolt it to the bracket in the channel of the bed. But you can't tighten them down yet because you still need to adjust the whole unit.

Mount the step pad to the unit and line it up with the bed.

The hardest part of the whole install is having to drill a 1/2 inch hole in the body mount bracket, but my awesome Porter-Cable drill punched through in less than a minute!

Then mount up the final bracket and tighten all of the bolts.

Finally, step back and admire your handy work, then take a crappy cell phone pic for all to see; Check!

Some daytime pics.

It's not that noticeable, now what is noticeable is all of the dirt!

Nope, it's a 2wd that is leveled, with 33" tires.
