2008+ Interchangeable parts

Hey all,

Was wondering what new body parts style years like 2008+ will fit on 2003-2007 6.0's.

If I buy a 2003-7 6.0 can i buy 6.4 front fenders, tailgate , taillight etc?


What about wheels.... Thanks!

Taillights and tailgate yes but fenders are different and won't work without headlights, grille, etc. Mirrors will work if you like cutting and splicing wires to make them functional.

Great! what about tires? I have heard many opions it seems like some 6.4"s have differnt wheels from the factory. What i mean is that from what i have seen it looks like there are more than one style wheel you can get for the 6.4. Do any work on the 6.0?

the wheels CAN work, the backspacing is different on the 05-up trucks. pre05 has 4.5" BS, 05-up run a 6.5, you can make them work with a spacer.

Oh come on! The mirrors require some wiring work, but it's well documented; See the link in my sig for a How-To. I won't have another 99-07 SuperDuty W/O 08+ mirrors.

I never said it wouldn't work just got to cut some wires. I'm not a fan of the 08 mirrors but to each his own

I still want to do this mod once i get the .:R back on the road. Also, I got quoted 8-900 for the 08 step tailgate.. I guess u cant buy a non step tailgate and add the step later... its either or. That kinda stucks, but ohwell.

Can the interior seats be swapped in/ out with the 05-07 model SD's?

You can make them plug and play with the adapter I came up with, but without the adapter, you'll have to cut/splice wires.

Check the link in my sig for the how-to on the adapter. I LOVE my '08 lights - They look a bit newer than the 99-07 ones but even better, at night, you can see the lights in the rear view mirror (because they stick out a bit off the body).
