Recon White Lightening Tailgate Bar

OK guys (and gals) - anyone else experiencing major problems with their tailgate light bar from Recon? My gf got me one for my birthday in November. Within 3 weeks lights were going out , then the entire passenger side.

So I called Recon and they sent a new one out. I didnt have time to install the new one until 2 weeks ago...and now this one is already broke. the brake lights dont work and the passeneger side is out altogether. Are they poor quality or am I havin bad luck?

Poor quality in my opion. I bought the big rig lights for my truck and I had lights go out in month four..... will never buy thier product again!!!! Phoned Recon and they said sorry only 90 day warranty.... I was pretty pissed.

with those light bars, it's pretty common for all the brands. Not sure why

I've had excellent luck with Recon stuff otherwise. almost 5yrs now without any issues.

I don't have the Fire & Ice setup. Just the clearance lights. And yes, I'm sure the damn thing will fry tonight just because

i had good with with their products always. on one of my old trucks i ran the extreme tailgate bar and never had a single problem with it and on my super duty i run their cab lights and i never had a problem with them either they look great and work great. as for tailgate bars i tried 4 other companies before i found recon and theirs was the only one that never had issues. i think most people do have issues with the light bars.

I ran their big rig light bar with no issues at all. But if I were to do it again (which I am thinking about doing) I am going to buy individual LED lights and mount them to a custom bar.

So maybe its not a recon thing, but a light bar thing altogether? Man, I love the look of them but they look stupid half burnt out...
