Tire question

Hey guys quick question. I have a 6in lift on my truck and recently switched my Toyo M/T(37x13.50x17) for some BFG A/T(37x12.50x17). The truck handles a whole lot different. My question is will it be ok running the BFG's on my truck since they are only D rated? Im not towing or hauling anytime soon. I just wanted an A/T on my truck instead. Currently running 50PSI in each with nitrogen. Thanks

I was advised that it's not good for these trucks to run anything under a "E" tire becasue the sidewalls aren't strong enough to support the weight and the truck will chew the tires up alot quicker than E range tires. Thats just what I was told from discount tire direct and my uncle who runs a terry's tire town. I went with the LT E range tires. good luck.

i agree, my last truck was dodge diesel, nd now this ford. both trucks on d load felt like they were floating..... my current ford only has a 285/75/16 bfg all terrain, the handling sucks to say the least, you can literally steer with *** end of the truck if jerk the wheel just right.... if it hadnt come with brand new tires , they would be gone. i might still swap them and sell these.

good point I forgot about that the d range tires aren't as stiff of a sidewall and that has adverse effects on the handling of the vehicle esp when there is so much weight involved.
