put on some tinted 08 tail lights today

finally got around to picking up a set of 08 tails for my 06. the original lights looked terrible i think. picked these up from ford brand new. since i have the rest of the lights on the truck tinted i figured i might as well do these too. used rustoleum lens tint and clear. i think they look great. also followed the how too's on hooking up the reverse lights, very easy. hardest part was waiting for the tint to dry so i could handle them without leaving any marks. still need to polish them out so they shine a little better. now all i need is the 08 rear bumper and ill be set. here are the pics (sorry for the dirty truck)

It looks really good! Was it easy to just swap out the old lights for the new style? Do they just fit right in?

The swap was relatively plug and play. Housings are a direct swap but you need to splice in a new reverse bulb socket. There are a few how tos on here with the exact parts you need
As for the paint. That is the only version i have seen. I plan on spraying some more clear and then wet sanding and polishing and seeing how they turn out
