One of the guys on e-bay offers the adapter harness along with the lights for under $200 with either the chrome or black housing. I was going to go this route myself but after hearing how bad the lighting was after the swap I decided to order the clear 99/04 housings and clear markers - IMO looks just as good & more bulb selections

I thought it was brighter with the swap? The new lights pull more watts or amps or whatever right?

I searched & read a lot of people saying the new setup needs a relay harness to run higher power bulbs, they still werent as bright as better bulbs in the earlier clear housings - kinda makes sense to me as the 05 housing has the tiny, narrow reflector compared to the bigger housing on the earlier setup.

I would not hesitate to order from Bob at dfuser. If you call him up, he answers and is more than willing to help out. No need to shop around IMHO.

The 9008 has the same wattages as the 9007. You can get away with the adapters if you retain the standard bulbs. If anybody is in a pinch for headlight connectors for the 9008, here in Canada, Ford wanted 130.00 EACH FOR THE CONNECTOR!!!! Went to the Dodge dealer, asked for same connector for a 05-08 Ram, and paid 28.00 each. The downside of getting dealer parts is you'll have to splice in the connectors, since they aren't plug-and-play.
