TIRES ON A 04 FX4 PSD CREW CAB
I WAS CURIOUS IF I WOULD HAVE ANY PROBLEMS PUTTING ON SOME DIFFERENT TIRES ON MY TRUCK. I HAVE 265-75-16 NOW WHICH IS THE STOCK TIRE FOR THIS TRUCK. I WAS WANTING TO PUT SOME 285-75-16 ON TO GET A LITTLE BEEFIER LOOK WITH OUT GETTING TO CARRIED AWAY. WILL THESE TIRES RUB WHEN TURNED ALL THE WAY ONE WAY OR THE OTHER?
THANKS GUYS STROKEITDUDE |

No
Most of the superduties on the road that arent lifted are now running 285's. You can even run a 315 with just a lil rub at full lock.

I have 285/75r16 's on my truck now and have no issues at all. I have a friend that has 305/70r16 's on his truck which is the sam height just a little wider and he has no problems with rubbing.

I am running 285/65-20s, and they are close, but no rubbing...even while moderate off roading (fields, ruts, light trails)

yep 285's work without a problem and i would recommend staying away from the 305's with the stock width wheels but you can run them but to make them work right you need 8" to 10" wide wheels and with a leveling kit 315's work but have been known to rub when offroading but there again they looks tons better on a wider wheel..
