2008+ Tailgate

Does the 2008+ tailgate fit on the 03-07s without any modifications? Is there anything else I have to buy?

sure does. much heavier so maybe a shock of sorts to help when opening. i dont have one but a few friends use them to help open

What about the driver's side roller hinge? I keep seeing that in articles.

I have a topper on my 06, so will an 08 tailgate w/o the step fit the same where it meets the back window of the topper?

hey about the hinge, its called a "roller" from ford its 15$ and trust me you want it!

its so much easier to lift and lower with it, if not there 2 8mm bolts inside the tailgate on the left side that you remove and take the lift assist out and it will work just like you existing one, but will have a tiny bit of play
