Headlights are baking.

I have one in the oven, the other awaiting. Gonna post updates in real time. Only thing i don't know, is how long to bake them for. I have the temp set at 250, and laying on damp carboard in the oven. ANy help along the way, let it rip. Pics coming.

Looking forward to seeing this. I want some Harley headlights but they are so proud of them I might just get some regular 05 headlights and paint them

ok ya 250 start putting them in there for 10 minutes then another ten then 15. use a knife and cut the old rtv and get a flat head screwdriver in there and pry apart and when you are done rtv the heck out of it

These are the stock headlights off my 06. I got the first one apart, second one is baking now. Here's a pic of it pulled apart. Wasn't to bad to get them apart after i baked it longer.

See, i like how you blacked out the side turn lenses, i am doing the same thing. Yea, I hear ya on the screw driver, i have one with a hook on the end of it, let them bake a little longer after scraping it once with that, then they came right apart. Plenty of RTV on hand for the re assemble.

They are knock offs , but there nice . I had a set on my last truck .

Also sorry to hijack , I am all for doing it yourself too . I was just throwing that out there.
