they are really easy to change, I have the same smooth handles on mine, take the door handle off, undo the 2 bolts that hold them on, swap the lock rods and bolt them back in.

Is there a smooth handle for the tail gate? I would like to get rid of the stock black, and go to matching white. Any thoughts?

yes, there are smooth tail gate handles. i have them on mine. just google smooth tailgate handle and it will take you the appropriate sites. i believe mine cost some where around $15.00. well worth the money. makes the truck a whole lot better. this past weekend i painted my f250 badges (black) on both fenders and the tailgate. sorry i do not have pictures, dont have the means to do that.
