Ran over a 2x4

Driving down the freeway today and ran over a short piece of 2x4 (wood) and shot it up under the truck with the front tire then again with the rear. Got lucky and it hit under the truck but the rear tire shot it up the side and put a nice scratch in the side of the bed above the exhaust. I want to get this fixed and make it look like it never happened but i don't what to do. I dont want to put touch up paint. So if you have any ideas post them. I'll try to get some pics when i figure out how I can post them.
