Power Mirror Failure

My driver side power mirror has stop working, hit the switch and the motor whirs, but the mirror doesn't move in any direction, you can move the mirror manually with nearly no resistance and it stays where you put it pretty decently, but that is kinda defeating the purpose of power mirrors.

Is there a way to fix it, or am I going to just have to replace the whole dang unit??

Since it is a KR edition I also have heated, but no idea if the heating part is broke since it is July and hot as Hades outside.

You might be able to replace the motor. I'm pretty sure its a removable part frfom the mirror. Check with Ford

Sounds like the gearing in the morotr might be shot. The motor tuens, but it has nothing to turn... I have no idea.

Tear the mirror down and find out what is broke. I think that most if not all of those internal parts are available from Ford.
