New look on the Ex...

Just wanted to put the pics of my new grill guard out there. I picked it up for $200, had it sand blasted (free), and then painted and installed it myself. I also put a front receiver hitch behind the bumper (makes it easier to push the travel trailer into storage).

I like the look of the hidden fog lights a lot! Because of the front hitch, I had to relocate the lights as I wanted to keep them. I found that they fit really easily behind the grill. I used one bolt on the fog mounts tied into the fiberglass supports in front of the radiator. If they are not on, you don't really see them in there. But turn them on, and it really brightens things up in front of you. It adds quite a bit more light with them being higher (at least I think so).

Anyway, the paint turned out to be a perfect match for the Eddie Bauer trim. Like I said, I'm a proud 6.0 Ex owner!!!

Thanks. I still have a pair of 6" driving lights (100W +) to mount on the grill guard also. We do a lot of driving in the Texas Hill Country on the way to the deer lease. We go out year 'round. A lot of the time we drive out at night, so the extra light is a blessing. I'm going to pick up the lights in a couple of weeks, then I have to paint the housings to match.

The lights will be hooked into to the high beams, so when another car approaches, you can quickly turn them off.

Mudrunningpig, I believe I saw your truck on the interstate this past Friday... I-77 I believe, you were pulling a trailer I think. Pretty sure I wouldn't mistake your truck for someone else's.
