Line-X Substitue for Plastics?

Hey guys, I'm wanting to PTM the bed caps and the rear bumper pads of my truck, but I need something that is durable and something that won't compromise it's use. I am constantly climbing in and out, stepping on the bumper pads and scraping the caps with various tools.

So I called a local Line-X dealer, and they don't do plastics since they can't guarantee the finish. So what can I do to get this painted white to match my truck, but not sacrifice durability?

hmmmm I would like to know the same thing. The duplicor bed liner stuff is flaking off my brothers plastics. I am going to be lining my bumpers, grille, and rockers and would like to find something durable for the plastics as well.

Look into Al's liner. I was told it will stick to plastic, and its stronger than Line-X and a fraction of the price

You can get Durabak in white. Its very similiar(if not identical?) to Herculiner, so its a DIY product.

You have been telling me about Al's, do you know if they guarantee that it will stick well to plastic?

I don't remember who told me that, but I think it was Raul . Someone should just call them and find out for sure. I'll let you know what I find

I guess I was wrong. Raul was teling me about the fiberglas, not plastic

Q:What can I spray Al's Liner on?
A: Anything but hard plastic. Al's Liner works great on wood, fiberglass, and metal. Some surfaces may require scuffing and priming.

Have you personally used the Durbak stuff? I went to the link you posted and it looks pretty good.
