Shocks
What is everyone running for shocks? OEM ranchos? I'm doing a Level kit here soon, and need to get longer front shocks. I did find some Monroe Reflex shocks for factory height and some that are 2" longer. I'm looking for a Nitrogen gas charged variable rate or "smart" shock. Doesn't seem to be many out there. I checked out Bilstein and for the 4WD they don't list parts. only for the 2wd. SO for right now it seems the Reflex are my only option.

I did the leveling kit on my 05 with the Rancho RSX9000 shocks. Very nice. Bilstien has shocks for your truck also. I think we sell more of the Rancho 9000's and 5000's than the Bilstiens. Probably because of cost.

Actually the Rancho 9000's are more than the Bilstiens.

Maybe I'm wrong. You are correct that finding a part number is difficult. I would have to make a call monday for the correct numbers.

Rancho shocks suck in my opinion. I've tried a lot of shocks on my old rock crawler. My favs were the Monroes. Believe it or not. suprised me even. I can get +2" Monroe Reflexes for the front for about $45ea. and Reflex shocks for the back of a F350 (+1" for the F250) for $80ea. As of right now, thats the ones I'm getting, just wanted to see what others are running.

Ya I guess a set of 9000's would suck compared to what everyone runs on a rock crawler.
Those monroe rear shock only retail for 61.44 a piece. |

i use kings, but in my experience Bilstiens are sweet i used them for a while before i switched to kings but for stock trucks you cant beat them.

We can get Fox, but man are they pricey! We also get Pro-comp, Fabtech, Skyjacker, Superlift, Tuff Country, Trail Master, RCD (uses Bilstien) Fox, and a few others I cant think of. I like my 9000's for street use.
