Remove the 4 or 5 bolts on top of the grill, theres 4 or 5 clips at the bottom of the grill holding it in, pop them out, you should be holding your grill in your hands. lay it down, theres a nut type thing on the back of the emblem, and 2 clips holding it on. the hardest part for me was getting the film off of the emblem to prep it for paint.

How did you get the film off and what kind of paint did you use?? did you have to tape off the ford letters or did you use a brush to paint it? did you put a seal back on or just left like it was?

I took mine off, used a 60 grit to sand the majority of everything down. Then I took a finer sand paper and sanded it all out. Taped over the ford emblem with electric tape, cut around the letters with a razor then sprayed the emblem with a black rattle can from walmart. After it dried i used the spray polyurethane let it dry and did 2 more coats, it actually looks pretty good, and has held up since last october.
