i have a 05 6.0L...i know when i replaced the fender badge there where pin hole in the fender, but that was okay cause they were covered with the new badge. Does the door badge have holes in the door? i wanna take mine off and have a clean door....thanks for your help...........i am having some decals made for my hood and tail section. Will post when i get the truck clay bar'd and wax....HOPEFULLY this weekend. i also painted my dash >i didnt care for the fake @$$ wood grain stickers. Now if i can just figure out how to remove my door panels to paint them too.....

Ditto on the door badges. No holes. Pulled mine a couple of years ago. Really cleans up the door. I used goo be gone to take off the left over adhesive.

door panels are easy to take off. Just two screws holding them in. I think one is under the mirror contol panel, it just pops off and you unplug the wire harness.
the other is underneath the reflector on the lower back part of the panel, which also should pop off. Once the screws are removed, just lift the whole door panel up until it clears the door lock and you're done. Oh, bu sure the disconnect the bulb harness that goes to that lower reflector/light so you don't yank wires loose. I'd like to know how your paint job comes out. I've been thinking about making my interior black instead of tan. |

rohan, thanks for the additional info. i only pulled the front part (Instrument Cluster) part of the dash, not knowledged enough to pull the whole thing to paint. Besides i have a grey interior and just wanted to add some black highlights. the door badges came off a whole lot easier then the fender badges. This weekend is time to wash/claybar/wax, then i can put on some decals i ordered.
