Running Board Recomendations

Howdy!

Im pretty new here, but have found the forum to be a great resource! Wondering if anyone has any words of wisdom reguarding aftermarket running boards. My 05 F350 came with plastic running boards and I want something that looks similar to the Ford Metal/Chrome Running boards that I see on most of your trucks. My only problem is Ford wants like...almost 700.00 for a set. Obviously not going with the stealership. But just wondering what brand/model you guys are using if you mount aftermarket running boards. Would like something that has a drop like OEM, not mounted right up snug to the bottom of the cab. Thanks!

When I purchased my truck it came with a set of Westin steps on it, and I love 'em, on my CC truck they even extend back to the bed a little bit so I can hop up on it to get into the toolbox!

i personally love the ones that come on the harley editions. they are chrome but the backs are all closed in. helps a lot with keeping the truck clean. i am happy with them on my harley!

I also have Westin nerf bars. They make it much easier for my wife to get in and out of my truck...

if you can afford them, (approx. $1200 plus installation) then amp research retractable steps are the way to go.

I have these and highly recommend them. They are awesome, but stole my tax refund

AMP steps are by far the best steps you can get but the price scares most people away.

I"ve located a set of AMP's and am in the process of buying them.

I'll have my Stock Chrome SD CC Ford steps for sale next week for best reasonable offer!

I'd like to get 400 for the pr. but that may not be reasonable, and it may be 400 too low or 200 too high.

Shipping shouldn't be too much as it will go on a pallet truck freight, not UPS or FEDEX from 75044.
