Foglight HID Issue

I know this is dumb but i figured i would ask here. Its not my truck but installed a hid kit for the fogs. Everything is hooked up fine, stock bulbs work, hid's wont. I have a relay harness to put in but havent, do i need to do this... Its an 04+ F250.

Bump for the day. I didnt finish putting them in and was just wondering if I needed to do that relay harness.

I installed a headlight/foglight kit on my '08 and I had to use a relay on my headlights. My fog's worked fine without one. I realized you have to have the truck running and give it a couple seconds before you turn them on. Hope this helps!

Tried that and I research the heck out of the site and read all the posts but everyones opinion is so different. Reg fog light bulbs work when ballast is unhooked so the fuse is ok but it is super cold out. There is no way both ballasts are bad I just think I need to put the relay harness in.... I didnt have this issue with my f150 or my buddies f250 but some of my buddies have used the relay harness and idk why exactly because I didnt help put them in.

Same issue here, added relay harness, everything worked as advertised.

2004 F-250 FX4 King Ranch, 4" RBP turbo back minus that lousy kitty, s&b intake kit, SCT X3 with Innovative tunes, Elite x-over coolant lines, Liberator EGR Delete, Elite .20 pistons, Elite stg 2 cam, Elite VGT-SS turbo, Stg 3 H2O/ meth, and now I'm broke...

mine wouldnt come on either so i just put in a bigger fuse cause i realized it kept blowing em an mines a 07 so i dont think u need that relay but its ur call

If you added the relay you wouldnt need the bigger fuse. Thats the entire point of the relay. it prevents an overload of the existing electrical system

I was just annoyed that they wont turn on. I figured the cold weather hasnt helped. I figured that there was 12 volts all the time so it didnt need a relay. I really thought that after the truck started and if you waited a little bit that when you turn them on that they would go on.
