Tool Box Question

My father in law has tool box that he doesn't use in his truck anymore. I'm thinking about taking off of his hands, but was wondering if I can still use it with my drop in liner. I've never had a box and I'm thinking it would be quite handy for my fishing gear and tools. Any advice would be greatful.

i just bought one yesterday and i have the drop in liner... its the kind that sits on top of the rails
