08 Tailgate on my 03??

so im picking up an 08 tailgate for my 03 on thursday and i was wondering which hinge i need to change to make it work. Is it the right or left? Does the bolt holding that hinge on have the star head like my 03 does? Im gonna try and steal the hinge off the truck im getting the tailgate from so i wanna bring the right tools to remove it

any info would be appreciated, thanks

It is the drivers side and it has the exact same head pattern.
