Shocks went out on me again!

My factory rancho's went out in about 60,000 miles. i have never done any hard driving or offroad. I replaced them with the rough country 9000. now they are leaking pretty bad (30,000 miles) and i have a funny sound when i turn to the left. I bought new rancho 5000's and i am putting them on monday. Why would i have gone through 2 sets of shocks? Should I replace the dual stabilizers now? they are rough county's also. and if i do, what do i need to get? are the stabilizers special? or are they regular shocks?
