how to tell if my cut outs are for along box or short box?

just recently traded a guy my slip tank for some brand new bushwacker cut out flares, I never new till after that it mattered when i was looking on the internet that there are two different styles. does anyone know the measurment or if there is a number on them that will tell me??? any help would be great thanks
also i am looking to get some more offset wheels for the cutouts what offset will get my wheels to stick flush or past (would like sticking out about 3/4")???
