Block heater cord???

Dad ordered a block heater cord for his 2006, but it's only like 12 inches long. Can this be right?

That sounds way to short. They have to go all the way from the block to the front bumper.

I bought mine off of ebay for i think $16 bucks and was something like 3ft long. And took about 15 minutes to install.
