Anyone have a topper on their truck?
This is the one I want: http://www.leer.com/browning.html
Anyone have a Leer? Any experience with them?

Question

No one has a cap/ topper on their truck? I have recently heard that Leer makes crappy hardware on their caps. Can anyone else confirm this? What cap would you recommend? I was going to get this one:

http://www.leer.com/browning.html

I have never had a cap/topper before; as I had a toolbox and hard tonneau on my last SD. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! TIA!

HEY SPV!
That topper you're looking at looks NICE. I don't honestly know much about them, although I always thought Leer was top of the line when it came to such things. Let me ask around and see if I can find someone who has one.

Leer

I don't need a topper for my 04 but I had a Leer on my 02. It was a PERFECT match for my truck in color, size and dimension.
I went to the factory in Pa. and got a great install and a hefty discount.

I'm really picky about toppers. Some people just don't know how to buy the right one for their truck. We all have nice trucks for the most part, and it would be just foolish to be a plain topper on even if the color matches. Get something nice now!!

well my 91 f150 has a nice cap, it was from a local place in NJ called CAP CITY.... years ago it was purchaed back in 95 i think... My dad recently paid over 1k for a standard height LEER black cap to match his 03 F150 black pickup, the bottom rails that meet the pickup bed are just wrapped fiberglass moulding just liek the cap itself, and there are aluminum clamps, 4 of them that hold it "pinched" to the bed, it works, yeah but its nothing like the cap on my f150, its got 6 bolts that go through it into the bed and the entire bottom is a aluminum flat rails that screw and are glued somehow to the side of the fiberglass of the high rise cap... not sure who makes nice caps these days, maybe his is just a cheaper model at 1k lol
