I found myself a set of 05-07 F350 Badges and powerstroke badge for about 5 bucks. My question is whats the best way to get the black paint out of the numbers and then repaint them?

acetone maybe? either that or try a scotch pad

high grade acetone will wipe the paint right off.

You can buy it at an automotive paint store. I think it is usually marked as aircraft paint remover or something like that

Take them to the local car wash and blast them with the high pressure wand.

this wont take the chrome finish off will it? i'd like mine to be pure chrome without any paint on them

no it wont take the chrome off. i did all of mine worked great. just make sure if you do them on your truck, mask off all around them so you dont take the paint of your truck too.

Why would you want to do them on the truck instead of off of it?

Talk to Raul at Stealth. He's got re badging kits (new stickers) for the badges. I think you can get a choice of several different colors and they're made by recon IIRC.
