swappin

#1 is a ext cab sht bed the same wheelbase as a reg cab long bed?
#2 and is a regular short bed the same as a 4dr short bed dually bed?
#3 also can you take a regular 8ft dually bed a shorten it to a sht bed dually?

#3; yes, but it'd be easier to get a standard short bed and add the humps.

#1 - No, standard cab long bed is 141" and super cab short bed is 142" (pretty sure).

#2 - Yes, except the dually has holes in the rocker panels for the dually fenders to mount on.

#3 - You could, but it would be A LOT of work and refinishing. What would be the point of a short bed dually?

1 inch difference? Looks to me like they would have made the frames/wheel base the same on both to make production easier/cheaper.

You would think, but they don't. Cab and box mount locations are different as well.

i figured the mounts would be differant but thats just welding......and i like makin stuff no one has so if i can convert my truck to an ext cab sht bed dually.....that would be pretty awesome.....so where can i find some measure ments to be exact?
