Load range E 33" or above tires
Looking for future interest to get a 33" or above E rated tire for a 17" factory rim. I have the 295/70-17 Nitto Terra Grappers, but they are only D's and I need more. Any suggestions? I can go up to a 35" tire

No help on this one? Is it true that the BFG AT's in 315/70-17 are E rated?

Kuhmo makes an E rated tire that is close to a 33, they make a 35 as well.
Check out there website for the tires. You will have to call a local dealer about the tire sizes. Their website sucks. |

The only BFG ATs that I see with a Load Range of 'E' are sizes:
265/70R17 @ $190 per 305/65R17 @ $222 per Currently Available Prices and Sizes I know the first one will fit no problem but not sure about the second one. Good Luck. |

Thanks. It just seems that everything is getting piled on together on this one...first I need the E's because the one set of tires I bought is D (even though the size above and under are E...Ugh), and now whenever I look at the bigger tires I realize I'll need a wider wheel than my factory one.

What's the factory tire size for an FX4 with 17" wheels? My truck sits at the same height in the rear with this lift, but about 2" higher in the front...I'm just wondering if the factory size would look funny

BFG A/T I know comes in a 285/75/16 and 285/75/17 setup in E Load range.
I don't know about bigger sizes though. |

The 285/70-17 sounds like the right tire for me. Not too small, not too big and still looks good.
Thanks! |

check out M/T ATZ, and MTZ. they both are available in 17" E ratings i beleave. the ATZ's tread looks awesome, and its quieter on the road than my goodyear wrangler ATS's. and does great in the mud.

Thanks-checked them out and the E rated ones seem to be that same 265/70 size....so far the only one that I think will fit on my stock wheel is the Nitto terra grappler thats one size above the set I have-the 305/70s. That BFG is not E as I stated before-its D.
I may have to sacrifice looks to get the rating I need...unless I step up to the factory 20" wheels
