Roof creaking

I finally found my creaking noise in my cab on my f-250. I knew it was coming from the passenger roof so I pulled the head liner down up to the moon roof. Looks like ford just cuts in the moon roof with out adding any "real" extra bracing. I hope the moon roof is built to compensate for it.

Anyway they did add two small brackets on each side of the moon roof with two plastic caps on the moon roof end of the bracket and three sheetmetal screws securing it on the door side. The plastic cap will rub through due to the added cab flexing so I rotated the caps 180 and wrapped them with rubber tape. Creaking gone! What a pi$$ poor design!

I just thought I would post my findings since its bound to happen to someone else.
