Rear Splash Shields?

Hello,

I just recently purchased my newest Ford, an 06 F350 Lariat CC, and I have been lurking here learning.

Time for my first question...

In the rear wheelwells are "splash shields," basically pieces of plastic in front and behind the rear wheels and held in with a couple fasteners. What is the general concensus on these? My truck is missing the ones in front (which I saw on several trucks I looked at), and I want to replace them because I generally like things to be "right," but I'm wondering if they break and come off and if there is a reason that I should remove the rear ones instead?

Adam

To be honest I wonder if they took them off after a certain year? My 00 CCLB had them and the christmas trees that held them in kept popping.

My 06 doesnt have them front or rear if I recall?
