Adjusting sensitivity factory theft alarm
How do you adjust the sensitivity to the factory theft alarm. Stupid thing goes off all hours of the night and day for no reason and no - no one is trying to break in.
It just goes off. Wind blows - it goes off. Cat jumps on the hood - it goes off. Just feels like waking everyone up at 2:30am - it just goes off. I'm off kayaking and I can hear its "scrambled morse-code type alarm" sounding across the waters - ![]() I'm so sick of the stupid thing going off for no reason. The truck is used and I dont have a manual to explain how the thing works. All I have is a factory key fob to control it with and a small deactivation button under the dash when I dont have the key fob readily handy. I found the Ford Alarm control module under the dash, mounted under the steering column - but dont know how to adjust it. I'm about to rip the stupid thing out - someone help me here!!!! Please!!! |

that is an aftermarket alarm that is tapped into your factory wires. their should be a "brain" or a shock sensor somewhere with a little flat head screw......follow the wire from the switch. Which is the valet switch.
