Need a 12v to 9v dc regulator

Hello...I'm looking for a source for a regulator to convert 12 volt dc to 9 volt in a direct wire application. I pull a horse trailer hauling exotic animals and have a camera rigged in the trailer for viewing in the truck and have been powering it with the ac adapter that it came with with an inverter, but I'd like to hardwire it directly and it needs 9 volts. Thanks if anyone can point me in the right direction!

If you can wire in a cigarette lighter socket, Radio Shack sells universal power wires of different voltages, including 9v.
