keyless entry

i would like to add a factory keyless entry to my truck.....its an xlt package and i wouldve thought it would have one but it didnt come with my truck.......how hard would it be to find out if it has it or if i can add it?

just about impossible, the models that have factory keyless use a different windshield and the locking setup is a type "B" system (negative pulse) whereas without factory keyless it is a type "C" system (reverse polarity) However it's easy enough to add an aftermarket keyless entry but if your going to go that far you might as well put in a command start. If you need info on how to hook up an aftermarket setup pm and i'll send you a schematic

thatd be great how exspensive is it to add keyless lock and start.......what about the glow plug deal?

if you have a decent knowledge of automotive wiring and methods (soldering) its not that hard to do yourself as for cost it depends on your choice of module but basically your looking at anywhere from 50-500 bucks for the unit depending how fancy you go, as for the glow plugs the modules have a wait to start timer that works fine

id like to add the keypad for the doors, my truck already has keyless entry but where can i find the keypad and how hard is it to hook up?
