06 f350 tbc fault?

I posted about this last month, people said most likely it was a ground or wiring issue on the back hitch or the secondary plug in the bed for the gooseneck hitch. There was NO physical towing/brake problems, just the readout errors.

Now when the dash reads "TBC fault", the trailer brakes come on full, you see the meter light up full bars and it beeps for a second, sometimes im not even on the brakes, and it puts full trailer braking on and then goes off a second or two later.

Anyone else ever get that? Could the factory tbc controller just be bad? could it be a wire behind the dash.

well i got a new plug installed in the back today... seems to have helped the error a lot, drove 20 miles and nothing until tbc fault showed up even in an area that i didnt hit any bumps so not im not sure.

the place said the existing adapter did have a bit of small rust corrosion in it and maybe that was causing it.. we will see

theres a 2amp fuse in the box under your hood, check that, replace with a 5amp if you would like. I had the same problem but it was a dealership fix unfortunately. There was a lot more wrong than just that for some reason...
