upfitter switches confusion

Yesterday i was at a dealership getting my new state inspection sticker put on so i went and enquired about upfitter switches. he asked me what were going to be hooked up to them because they come in many different variances and that there is not just one standard set up for upfitters. I am looking to purchase some switches and now i am confused as to what i may need, so are there different types of switches or is the parts guy wrong.

I knew that there are 4 switches to the upfitters and that some where different amps but what i wanted to know was is there one set of switches for every SuperDuty or do you need to know what you are hooking up in order to buy the right set of switches. I thought upfitter switches were one size fits all(according to year that is.).

There is only one complete kit for upfitter switches. Easy to install yourself. There are kits on ebay all the time. Here is one for $105+$12.95 S/H eBay Motors: 2005,06,07, FORD SUPER DUTY FACTORY OEM UPFITTER KIT (item 300295329244 end time May-21-09 07:56:11 PDT)

They came in Thursday and finally put them in Yesterday so everything is bolted and snapped in but i have a question on the wires. Do the 4 wires tie in to some where or does the plug that goes into the fuse box run to the 4 wires through the firewall and do you tie them in now or only when you are hooking up something? I dont quite know what to do from there.
