Best LED tail light bulbs

I'm gonna be receiving a set of stock 05-07 tail lights, (thanks Merc82) probably this week. I'm planning on cleaning them up and having them sprayed with a custom tinted clear coat and I want to know what the best and brightest LED bulbs I can get for them. Wouldn't mind switching to a good and bright set for my 05+ HD head lights. Any input is appreciated.

Where do you have those bulbs mounted and how do you like them compared to stock

Tail lights.

There is no comparison to the stock bulbs!

mounted? they go in the factory socket... short of an LED taillight the "tower" style bulb is the best option unless you step up to something like this:

RED V3 TRITON LED SYSTEM | 1 PAIR

But at that point just get an LED taillight.

Also, do not use resistors for the LEDs!

Get an EP27 flasher and just replace the flasher.

It's behind the drivers glovebox, hidden by some while fabric.

superbrightleds.com

I used some LEDs from superbrightleds.com and have been pretty happy with them. I mistakenly got the CANBUS lights and they burned out fairly quickly (maybe 2 months or so) but my 2nd set have lasted almost a year now. I have the tower style bulb replacement and stock housings. The backup lights were already LED when I got the truck and I now have the tail lights, high mounted third brake light, and the backup lights. I did change my flasher unit as well. Still need to order LEDs for the front turn signal (looks like the factory fogs have LEDs in them already - another gift from the PO).
