Roof mount DVD player question

I'm new here and I have done a quick search but everything I see is a good bit old. I tried the interior forum first with no luck so maybe I had it in the wrong spot. I'm wanting to put a flip down dvd in my 2005 Harley crew cab. Does anybody have any advice of which ones to buy? I thought I had one picked out and then my installer tells me that it must come with a trim ring he can cut to fit the contours of the headliner. The only one I see that comes with that is a audiovox. Im looking for a 10 to 15 inch screen. Hoping someone here can lead me in the right direction. Thanks

I would look on ebay.. I have always got my stuff from there and never had any issues.. I had a 15 flipdown in my last truck and i installed it myself. I just removed the center light and used those wire for the power to turn the lights on.. I just used a 1/4" plywood cut a little bigger than the monitor and pulled the headliner down from the side and slide it in the to counter react the weight of the screen..

What did you do to cover the gap that's going to be there because of the contour of the ceiling ? It has a big hump where the light mounts so I don't see how it could be mounted flush with out a trim ring of some kind being made.

I have an Alpine unit in mine. It was in there when I bought it:

I can get more info on it if you'd like.

If you have a sunroof/moonroof then the headliner is smooth in the back. If you don't have one the headliner is waffle shaped like the roof of the truck. I put a 22 or 24 inch in myself but I have a sunroof and I made some custom brackets to keep it from bouncing around. A 22 in has some weight.
