Need ideas for a good monitor

Looking for a good, somewhat inexpensive monitor to put on my truck. Going in a '05 F250 6.0L. Any ideas or suggestions?

If you have an Android phone, the Torque app is probably the least expensive option.

For $160 the scangauge is hard to beat. When I eventually upgrade I'll put it in my wife's car.

Even buying a used phone or tablet, and the app, and Bluetooth adapter.. I'd bet its still quite a bit cheaper then the other monitors.

If you go Scan Gauge II, check for online coupons first:
http://www.retailmenot.com/view/advanceautoparts.com

Advance Auto has a 30% or $40 off $100, whichever is better in this case.

that's pretty cherry! it would drive me crazy though, I cant look at a screen that big especially at night. I realize you could just turn it off but at this point im to old/set in my ways.

its not that bad at night, I just turn down the screen brightness with the swipe of a finger. it actually gets darker then the gauge lights.

and I only really look at the top few gauges on it ECT,OCT,TFT. and the FICM.
all the other gauges are just there for the alarm capabilities,
if a reading drops to low or raises to high the gauge will flash and an alarm will sound letting me know something is not right.

and your right, I can hit one buton and turn the screen off an the monitor will still be running.
