Sirius in 06-07 SDs

I just got my Sirius hooked up yesterday. It runs from a small 4x4" x 1/2" thick box that is behind my rear seats, and connects to the back of the HU. The antenna is in the back of the cab on the roof, next to the third brake light. Online and when building the truck, Sirius is not yet an option, it will be on the 08 model year. It is however an option for the 06-07 F150. My F250 was a dealer trade, my dealer picked it up from another, but it only had the single disc, I wanted a 6-disc (Sirius will only work off a 6-disc) So my dealer had a F150 6-disc that just came off a F150, and they put that in my trcuk because they are the same HU's. So now I got Sirius showing up on my HU, and I'm loving it, I did not want one of those units attached to my windshield. The only things allowed on my windshield full time are my V1 & my Whelen Dual Talon light, and occasionally my GPS.
If any of you new 06-07 owners are up for it, I'd suggest doing it if your dealer will let you. Its worth it, IMO.

That's what my Dealer said, or thats the way I understood it. All I know for sure is that, Sirius wasn't an option for my 06 SD, but it was for the F150, and that the HU in my F250 is from a F150. So I'd say ask your dealer, to see if that's what you need. From what I know it is supposed to be a $200-300 change for the HU, but my dealer included it in the price, because they didn't have to order one. The Sirius unit itself is around $450, but my dealer took about $150 off the final price, because they kept saying it was coming out, and never gave me an actual date.

Good for you! I have a 2001 and I tried to change the hu so that I could get Sirius, but I bought one that has 3 grey plugs, and I need one with 2 black plugs. So be careful. PS, I have a am,fm,6-cd,sat,aux, unit for sale! New never installed first person to PM can have it for $200.
