Tuner Display on in dash screen

Im trying to see if something like this is possible. I want to have a display just like the edge cts but displayed on my in dash screen. Is there a way to do something like this or no because it would be awesome to have this setup vs another screen in the cab just for that.

Get yourself an SCT programmer for the truck then use Torque Pro it cost 5 bucks and you can get a Bluetooth ELM adapter for less than 20. You will have to figure out how to get the app onto the HU but after that it will run just like it was on a phone.

This is the adapter that I use:
Amazon.com: LYLŪ mini small ELM327 v1.5 Bluetooth Mini Small Interface OBD2 Scanner Adapter Torque Android: Automotive Amazon.com: LYLŪ mini small ELM327 v1.5 Bluetooth Mini Small Interface OBD2 Scanner Adapter Torque Android: Automotive

and here is a picture of my wife's old phone showing what I monitor. The only thing I cannot monitor is EGT however, when I tow or haul I use my LiveWire for that.

I had this same idea, but I could only find the APP for sale through google play.
BUT there are NO android head units that run google play for a app store......

most of the HU's with android also have wifi, so if you can find a hotspot somewhere you can download it.

I just bought myself a 7" samsung TAB, downloaded torque, and a GPS program, and a radio tuner to listen to music off it on my factory radio.

Yeah WI-fi is probably the best way to get the app or possibly you could download the .apk file to a thumb drive and if the HU has a USB port install it from there.

Thanks for the replies guys i did look into it and it can be done but i think what i am going to do is mount the SCT Livewire TS in the dash where the stereo is now and put a new head unit up top in the headliner compartment so that way i can have the backup cam and all the functions needed with a clean look as well.

Hey guys, not to barge in here, but if you look at any of the "MirrorLink" capable HUs, I believe they can do what you are looking for. Pioneer has the AppRadio2 and 3 and I know Sony has the XAV 601BT and 701BT series which are capable, too. There are some YouTube videos of the AppRadio version(s) running the Torque app. At the moment, I use the Torque app on my 7" tablet and LOVE it. Be forewarned! There are some extra steps to get it all to work together, but once everything is hooked up, it's awesome. I just ordered the AppRadio3 and a multi view reverse camera as I pull mostly gooseneck trailers. I plan on mounting the camera up high so I can see what's behind and around me (I'm taking down the rear view mirror) and also can line up my GN trailers. Plan on putting the camera on an upfitter switch so I can switch it on when I need to.

I have been researching the Android based stereo systems becuase I plan to to run the Torque app. I am trying to find one with green back lights that will look factory. I also want the option to duplicate the display on the 3 other screens in my X and play the sound/video from the overhead DVD player in the back on the stereo in the front.

Seems like it will take a weekend of work to get it all installed and setup.
