Weird radio static

On my radio channel I have set to listen to my IPod, while not playing music it has a real high pitch squeel that increases with engine RPM. Not too worried about it, it's just annoying and curious as to what it is. Thanks.

My explorer did that when using satellite radio. I fixed it by splicing the radio ground and running it straight to a new ground point

Yeah, changing stations doesn't help. It won't do do it on actual radio stations that play music and **** just on the ones that aren't playing anything so you can play your IPod if that makes sense haha.

I would suggest you look into the USA-Spec iPod adapters. They make the iPod look like a cd changer to the head unit. I am assuming a stock head unit. The fm adapters are no where near as good as a direct connection.

I thinking about just getting a radio that that the plug built into it for the USB cable. I have a radio like that in my '81 Camaro and it works awesome. Sounds so much cleaner too rather than playing on FM channels. Just sucks cause I have a nice deck now, touch screen and all it was put in in like 2006 so it has the plugin for like a MP3 player haha.
