Upfitter switches for KC lights.

Hi, My first post. I have a 2007 F-250 4 door 4X4 with the 6.0 diesel. I am the original owner and love my truck. Kudos to the men and women who built it in Louisville, Ky.

I just bought the Upfitter switches for the dash. Didn't get the harness yet.

By looking at several Upfitter switch installations on the internet I see that only one wire is for each switch.

The KC lights I'm looking to buy come with their own switch and have three terminals to hook wires to.

Has anyone ever hooked up KC lites or similar lights to their Upfitter switches?

Thanks.
Butch

The three wires on the KC Switch are 1) Power 2) Ground & 3) Power for the lighted portion of the switch.

Your Upfitter is controlled by a relay box that plugs into the switchbox and the fusebox.

It does everything for you, all you have to do is connect the one wire for your KC lights to the wire from the upfitter and connect the ground to a good chassis ground.

Then you are good to go!

dfuzz78 how wide are your wheels? What size tires are they? I was looking at the Duratrac's but in 325s instead of 275s but I don't know if they can go on my factory wheels. I don't know the width of my 20" wheels. How do ya like those tires so far on the pavement?

I got my KC lights installed with the upfitter switches. They're great!
