My sound system build!!!!

Hey forum

I been reaserching a lot to upgrade my sound system in my truck, I have a 2006 F350 Lariat Crewcab. Already I purchased the Appradio 3 head unit, all cable for install and 2 JL 10w6v2-D4 that Im planning to move forward the back seat ( I know I will loose some space in the back ) and build a custom box for them and they will be run by a JL HD900/5 amplifier. Also Im getting a signal processor Rockford Fosgate 3Sixty.3 to help the head unit output from 2v to 8v for clarity and noise reduction.
Im in the process of getting new speaker doors and I was wondering if anyone here knows how many speakers are in the Lariat model, size and recommend any good brand that has work for you.
Any help and suggestion will be greatly appreciated, currently overseas again and can't check myself. Just trying to get everything ready before I get home.

As far as brand I've always been a fan of Polk audio. I run some kicker components now and I don't think they sound as good as a regular Polk speaker.

I've been an Eclipse fan for years... They have a real clean sound.

They get abused as they are in custom kick panels and get hit with dirty wet shoes/boots all the time. As a result, I have one mid-bass that will bottom out, but only at high volume, on certain songs. It's the first time I ever had a problem with an eclipse product, and I can't say it their fault. I love the kick panel location of the speakers. Mine are Q-forms by Q-logic. They give you a near equal distance between left and right. Makes for beautiful stereo imaging in symphony music, or stuff like Pink Floyd.

I have had good results out of Infinity as well.

Looking to upgrade my system come spring. I'll be checking into JL Audio. I have their Stealthbox sub, and absolutely love it.

Fits in the center console, and thumps hard. It's a sealed box, and the bass is very tight and not mushy like most ported boxes. Being a sealed box, it needs a little more amp than I have on it, but it hits very good now. Impressive for a single 10" sub.

I've read some good things about Focal, but they are high dollar. I'll be going to a stereo shop to hear some systems when the time comes. I've never used any sound deadener, and I keep reading that it can have a dramatic effect on the sound quality.

Keep us posted. We may learn something from your experience.

Thanks so 6x8 or 5x7…
I been looking at JL too. I think I want to go with JL ZR570 in the front and C5-570 in the back. I really like JL audio there name speak from themselves.

"daddyusmaximus" Your kick panels look really nice but they seem they take a lot of abuse, and knowing my family If I get that, they will too. I think I will keep mine in the factory location.

As soon as I get home I will start my project. I will post pictures of the build as I go. Thanks all ur answers..

By the way Happy Veterans Day!!

The ZR570 is the same as the C5-570 with the exception of a aluminum 1" tweeter, C5-570 uses a .75 silk tweeter.

I have ZR650's in front doors and C5-570's in back doors. They are very good sounding speakers and you will like them.

Soundproofing is always wise if you want the best sound reproduction possible. I have it inside doors on door panels and on the floor. Also have it under the cab, have some pics on my page. Have not set up the garage or whatever that is under name yet.
