HELP! Speed Compensator?

I just bought an 05 F250 xlt about 2 weeks ago and had my pioneer cd player installed at circuit city ( i already had to go back twice because my dash kit wasn't put in right) so i noticed today that my sound kinda faded down then i stopped at a red light. . . could it be possible that if you take out the stock cd player (which has the speed compensator. . . louder you go louder the radio is.. .) and leave the compensator setting turned up then the aftermarket head unit will still have the compensator on. . . the compensator thing is a great idea but i just dont care for it. . . so am i gunna have to make them put my stock stereo back in, turn the compensator off, and then put the aftermarket unit back in? please help

Now that there is interesting.

I don't think you putting your stock radio back in is going to help that out. I would be willing to bet your Pioneer head has that feature in it.

Way back in the day when I used to do mobile audio work, there wasn't anything I was hooking an aftermarket head to in the car's wiring harness that would cause that issue.

I could always be wrong.
